Buyers Guide

Buying Safely with Online Auction:   More and more people are discovering the excitement of online auctions. So whatever one you are using to get a great deal, or you are a passionate collector of just about anything, we are convinced that you will find what you are looking for.

Read a seller's Feedback: Feedback is very useful for evaluating a user's trading history on Auction sites, a couple of moments spent looking through the feedback of the person you are doing business with is usually a good investment. 99.99% of Seller's are genuine, Member's ratings are a very good guide to how the seller conduct himself.

Read the description: Take the time to read the item description and look at the photo to familiarise yourself with the item and ensure it is what you want. Check if the seller accepts safer payment methods such as Nochex Payments  or offers an insured postage option.

Ask Questions: A good seller will always welcome questions and enquiries. If you want to know more, you can e-mail the seller or other Auction users who have bought from that seller. If in doubt ask the Seller if you can collect and ask for the postal address/Telephone Number, there are many ways of double checking the sellers info on the Internet.

Protect yourself    We do recommend you exercise extreme caution if a request is made for payment by Wire / Bank Transfer / Money Order, whether in the UK or abroad, or if payment is requested to a different address than that shown in your winner email. Also, please note, Email is NOT a secure medium and we advise against sending Debit/Credit card details through it.   Use a Safer Payment Method: By using a safer payment method such as  Nochex you have more control over your purchase, with Nochex you can be re-assured the sellers genuine. If you use your credit or debit card on the Auctions  make sure that they offer secure, encrypted transmission of all sensitive data. This means that to others on the Internet, your information is scrambled beyond recognition. We do recommend you exercise extreme caution if a request is made for payment by Wire / Bank Transfer / Money Order, whether in the UK or abroad, or if payment is requested to a different address than that shown in your winner email. Never under any circumstances supply your Card details by Email,   Use Common Sense: On Auctions, as in everyday life, you should always use common sense to protect yourself against fraud and deception. If the Item sounds to good to be True ask yourself why. Other people are Looking, why have they not BID, why are the Bids so Low, check what similar  Items are selling for. If you feel the Auction is being avoided then steer clear.   Buying Tips: Over he coming Weeks we will be adding numerous tips on how to get the best deal on the Auction sites, yes the ones they try to sell you!!!
